COMBOblue is appropriately named because it provides a combination of free time (FIXEDblue) with pay-per-use components (LOBBYblue). Guests receive complimentary free time to begin each session (typically 5-15 minutes). Pay for the computer service after the complimentary time expires. It is the perfect combination of value added complementary service and a revenue generating stream. COMBOblue allows guests to quickly check email and check travel information. It also keeps guests, non-guests, children, and transients from overusing the system for leisure purposes and preventing other guests from using the system for more urgent matters. Guests that have larger, lengthier work have no issue with paying for a system they know is secure and functional.
COMBOblue is a revenue share model with a fixed monthly charge. The charge can be deducted from revenues. Practically 100% of COMBOblue systems never result in a cost to the hotel.
GBCblue PC
Each COMBOblue PC comes on GBCblue PC features an ultra small form factor all-in-one design with the footprint equivalent to an LCD monitor. The PC is the ideal device for a variety of different properties with different space availabilities. The PC can be both placed on a desk, counter, or wall mounted. The system is manufactured by MPC who has been producing the all-in-one PC for seven years. The PC was originally created for the US Air Force and is the most mature and stable all-in-one available on the market. Each PC comes equipped with 19” to 22” LCD, DVD-RW/CD-RW, 6-in-1 Smart Card Reader, optical mouse, and POS enable keyboard with integrated magnetic card swipe.
The PC offers a complete software suite including Microsoft XP Pro and Office XP, Symantec Antivirus Corporate, and Client Manager 4 (CM4). CM4 is GBCblue proprietary kiosk software suite that prohibits user tampering, handles secure payment processing, enables patch management and remote monitoring, keystroke logger prevention, and refreshes the system after each use. The system refresh permanently eradicates all user data including files, cookies, internet history, temporary files, etc.
